Getting the Best Care Possible
"I can make up my own mind, but not if I'm ignorant." Jim East, Survivor
Suvivorship begins at diagnosis and extends throughout one’s life. Survivorship can also apply to a loved one, family member, friend or caregiver. The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation is committed to ensuring that all survivors are well-informed about prostate cancer issues. Not only does the Foundation want to save lives, but we also want to preserve quality of life.
There are many questions to be asked and decisions that need to be made after a prostate cancer diagnosis: Do I need a second opinion? What is a gleason score? Which treatment option do I choose? All of these are very valid questions and the more information you have at your disposal, the better the decision that can be made.
