The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation could not possibly exist without generous community support and participation.

Individuals, corporations, private businesses and private foundations continue to support the APCF mission of promoting awareness, encouraging timely detection and supporting improved treatment of prostate cancer in Arkansas.

Financial transparency (Form 990)

As a publicly funded independent public charity, the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation believes it is important to inform the community about how its funds are allocated. You can download the Foundation’s current Form 990, here. If you have any questions about the APCF’s funding or tax forms, please contact the Foundation.

Other ways to give

Event Sponsorship

Broaden your customer base through print materials, media and cause-related marketing as a corporate sponsor of our signature fundraising event, Blue Ribbon Bash. Sponsorship benefits vary according to level. The APCF hosts fun events throughout the year that attract hundreds of guests. If you would like more information about sponsoring an event, please call (501) 379-8027 or contact Executive Director Chris Collier at ccollier@arprostatecancer.org.

Estate Planning

Planned gifts to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation create opportunities for the Foundation to serve the people of Arkansas while guaranteeing the future of our mission. Planned giving also permits you to coordinate your charitable giving goals with those of your estate and financial planning.

There are a number of ways you can choose to help. Consider discussing the options below with your estate planning professional.

Bequest

This is the easiest method of making a future gift. You can make a bequest simply by including a provision in your will of a dollar amount, a gift of specific property or a percentage of your estate. Once the Foundation receives your gift, we apply it to supporting our programs and services in accordance with your wishes. Using this method of giving, your assets remain in your control during your lifetime and you can always modify your Will if your life, financial or family circumstances change.

Specific Bequest of a Certain Amount or Percentage
“I/We give and bequeath the sum of $________ to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or its successor organization for its unrestricted use and
purpose.”

“I/We give and bequeath % of my/our estate to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or its successor organization for its unrestricted
use and purpose.”

“I/We give and bequeath $__/__% to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or its successor organization for the restricted purpose of supporting the {insert type or name of program or area}.

Residuary Estates – Bequests of Percentage
“I/We give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my/our property and estate, of whatever kind and wherever situated to the following persons and organizations in the respective portions listed below:
a. I/We give, devise and bequeath __% of my/our said residuary estate to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or its successor organization for its unrestricted use and purpose;
b. …[provide other residuary bequests here]”

Specific Bequests of Real Estate
“I/We give, devise and bequeath the following specifically described real property situated in __ County, Arkansas to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or its successor organization: [provide legal description of real property].”

Revocable Trust Giving

If you have established a revocable trust to pass your property to loved ones, you can also provide provisions in the trust that are similar to the bequest provisions discussed above or provide that upon termination of your trust that a portion of the trust assets be used for the charitable purposes you designate.

Life Insurance Gifts

A simple way to make a significant gift in the future is to name a charitable beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the proceeds of a policy no longer needed for its original purpose. Often, as a result of tax law this form of charitable giving is an extremely efficient way to support the charitable causes that are important to you. You may also purchase a new policy naming the Foundation or another charity as a beneficiary or co-beneficiary.

Remember that a decision today to make an Estate Planning or Legacy Gift will help insure that the Foundation continues to help men and their families well into the future. If you are interested, we encourage you to discuss these planned giving techniques with your attorney or financial planning professional to ensure that they support your overall estate planning objectives.

If you would like more information about planned giving, please call (501) 379-8027 or contact Executive Director Chris Collier at ccollier@arprostatecancer.org.

Community Driven Campaigns

Community driven campaigns are awareness, educational, charitable and/or fundraising campaigns organized and executed by volunteers working within their own communities. We refer to these volunteers as our Champions. If you are interested in being a Champion for the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation or have an event that we can assist you with, please call us toll-free at 1 (800) 338-1383 or contact Executive Director Chris Collier at ccollier@arprostatecancer.org.
